Samaranch Memorial

Maybe nothing is more suitable to demonstrate a great spirit than an excellent building. The buildings transformed by the Olympic rings commemorate Samaranch and inherit the Olympic spirit. The multiple use functions of the memorial and its low-carbon design are a good interpretation of smart sustainable design. The building should grow with people and the environment. The supporting commercial buildings are integrated into the landscape to protect the overall natural landscape and form a large and varied experience space.

Snail Bay

The project is located in Kunming, it is also known as Flower City and Spring City. It is one of the most habitable cities in China. This case is the reconstruction and reuse of old buildings in Snail Bay. The Snail Bay Center is a government-led urban renewal project that was upgraded on the original site of Old Snail Bay. The designers’ strategy is to remove the external wall, dig its internal spatial memory and value, and endow it with proper temperament while preserving its structure and spatial pattern.

Light Portal

Light Portal is masterplan of Yibin Highspeed Rail City. A reform of lifestyle recommends to all age all year round. Next to Yibin High Speed Rail Station which operated since June 2019, Yibin Greenland Centre comprises of 160m tall mixed-use Twin Towers integrate architecture and nature with the 1km long landscape boulevard. Yibin has a history for more than 4000 years, accumulating wisdom and culture just like the sediment in the river marked the development of Yibin. The Twin Towers serve as a light portal to guide visitors as well as a landmark for residents to assemble.

House On Pipes

A grid of slender steel pipes laid out in a staggered manner minimise the building footprint while providing the rigidity and stability to hoist the living space above this. In keeping with the minimalist icon approach, this farmhouse has been designed within the framework of the existing trees to reduce the internal heat gain. This has been further aided by the intentional staggering of the Fly ash blocks on the facade with the resultant void and shadow naturally cooling the building. Elevating the house also ensured that the Landscape was uninterrupted and the views were unrestricted.

Studio Atelier11

The building was based on a "triangle" with the strongest visual image of the original geometric form. If you look down from a high place, you can see a total of five different triangles The combination of triangles of different sizes means that "human" and "nature" play a role as a place where they meet.

Private Helicopter

The design for this helicopter cabin is sporty and modern, inspired by the stylistic lines of high-end race cars. Styling is centered around the design of seats, integrating angular lines and a color palette ranging from beige to greys, mixed with black with blue accents. The overall design combines several technological features that aim at giving passengers a greater sense of comfort and physical interaction, as is the case with the ventilated seat bottom and backrest. The material mix combines Alcantara, leather and carbon-fiber composite, and contributes to the sporty luxury feel.
